Invitations 2001 

The invitations this year were cast fingers with an orange and black ribbon tied around them. The were placed in coffins with sphagnum moss, a note saying, "Don't Forget Amy's Party" and a the invitation details. These were pretty easy to make. We used Crayola air Dry Clay to make our finger mold. Once the clay dried, usually 24 hours, we poured plaster of paris into the mold and let that set up. When that was set, we unmolded our fingers, rounded them off a little and painted a ghastly color, adding a little blood for good measure. I found miniature coffins at Oriental Trading Company and filled those with the moss. I laid the fingers which I tied the ribbon around on top of the moss. The "Don't Forget" note went into the lid of the coffin. The invitation details were laid on top of the finger. Everything went into an envelope and was mailed out.

Invitations 2006

The invitations this year were a carnival poster and ticket to the carnival. Both of these documents were manipulated in Paint Shop Pro 6 and Word. The artwork was taken from the web. I had everything printed at Staples on card stock.
